Burr grinders have a much higher degree of control over the size of coffee grounds, creating a more consistent coffee experience from cup-to-cup. For the price, it's one of the best machines you can get for consistently grinding coffee. The only concern we've seen is on the finest settings for espresso - it doesn't quite seem to be fine enough for a single-wall espresso filter.
